 Cream Cheese Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick butter (softened)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 2 2/3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (8 oz) cream cheese

Instructions:

  1. Blend Base:

    • In a bowl, mix 1 stick of softened butter, 1 box of yellow cake mix, and 1 egg until combined.
  2. Prepare Pan:

    • Grease a 13x9 inch pan.
    • Spread the mixture in the pan using a spatula (it will feel doughy).
  3. Mix Topping:

    • In a separate bowl, combine 2 2/3 cups powdered sugar, 2 eggs, and 1 (8 oz) cream cheese.
    • Use a hand mixer to blend until smooth.
  4. Combine:

    • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake base in the pan.
  5. Bake:

    • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 35-40 minutes, or until the sides are light brown.
  6. Cool:

    • Allow the cake to cool in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
  7. Serve:

    • Cut into squares of your desired size.
    • Optionally, drizzle powdered sugar on top before serving.

Note: This cake is best served cold and is a favorite at gatherings!
