Cream Cheese Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 stick butter (softened)
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 egg
- 2 2/3 cups powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 (8 oz) cream cheese
Instructions:
Blend Base:
- In a bowl, mix 1 stick of softened butter, 1 box of yellow cake mix, and 1 egg until combined.
Prepare Pan:
- Grease a 13x9 inch pan.
- Spread the mixture in the pan using a spatula (it will feel doughy).
Mix Topping:
- In a separate bowl, combine 2 2/3 cups powdered sugar, 2 eggs, and 1 (8 oz) cream cheese.
- Use a hand mixer to blend until smooth.
Combine:
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake base in the pan.
Bake:
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 35-40 minutes, or until the sides are light brown.
Cool:
- Allow the cake to cool in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
Serve:
- Cut into squares of your desired size.
- Optionally, drizzle powdered sugar on top before serving.
Note: This cake is best served cold and is a favorite at gatherings!
