Cheesy Hash Brown Casserole


  Cheesy Hash Brown Casserole Directions

  1. Gather Ingredients:

    • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
    • 1 cup American cheese pieces
    • ½ tsp onion powder
    • 1 tsp pepper
    • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
    • 2 cups sour cream
    • 1 tablespoon melted margarine
    • 1 bag frozen hash brown cubes
    • 2 cups corn flakes
    • 1 stick melted margarine (for corn flakes)
  2. Mix the Cheese Mixture:

    • In a bowl, combine:
      • Cheddar cheese
      • American cheese
      • Onion powder
      • Pepper
      • Cream of mushroom soup
      • Sour cream
      • 1 tablespoon melted margarine
  3. Prepare the Pan:

    • Grease an 11x13-inch baking pan.
  4. Layer the Hash Browns:

    • Spread the frozen hash brown cubes evenly in the greased pan.
    • Spoon the cheese mixture on top of the hash browns.
  5. Prepare the Corn Flake Topping:

    • In a separate bowl, mix the corn flakes with 1 stick of melted margarine.
    • Spoon this mixture on top of the cheese layer.
  6. Bake:

    • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
    • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
