Cheesy Hash Brown Casserole Directions
Gather Ingredients:
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 cup American cheese pieces
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cups sour cream
- 1 tablespoon melted margarine
- 1 bag frozen hash brown cubes
- 2 cups corn flakes
- 1 stick melted margarine (for corn flakes)
Mix the Cheese Mixture:
- In a bowl, combine:
- Cheddar cheese
- American cheese
- Onion powder
- Pepper
- Cream of mushroom soup
- Sour cream
- 1 tablespoon melted margarine
- In a bowl, combine:
Prepare the Pan:
- Grease an 11x13-inch baking pan.
Layer the Hash Browns:
- Spread the frozen hash brown cubes evenly in the greased pan.
- Spoon the cheese mixture on top of the hash browns.
Prepare the Corn Flake Topping:
- In a separate bowl, mix the corn flakes with 1 stick of melted margarine.
- Spoon this mixture on top of the cheese layer.
Bake:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
