Flapjack Recipe
Ingredients:
- Brown Sugar: 80g (4/5 cup)
- Butter: 100g (1/2 cup)
- Oats: 1.25 cups
- Salt: pinch
- Banana: 1
- Honey: 3 tbsp
Instructions:
- Melt butter in a deep saucepan over low heat.
- Add brown sugar and honey; mix until liquid.
- Gradually stir in oats, ensuring they are coated.
- Add a pinch of salt.
- Mash the banana into a liquid pulp; mix into the oats thoroughly.
- Spread the oat mixture evenly in a baking tray using a knife.
- Bake in a preheated oven at gas mark 5 (220°C) for 15 minutes, checking regularly. Remove when the mixture darkens.
- Let cool for 1-2 minutes, then cut into desired pieces.
- For added flavor, drizzle melted chocolate on top if desired.
Serves: 12-15 pieces
