 Flapjack Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Brown Sugar: 80g (4/5 cup)
  • Butter: 100g (1/2 cup)
  • Oats: 1.25 cups
  • Salt: pinch
  • Banana: 1
  • Honey: 3 tbsp

Instructions:

  1. Melt butter in a deep saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add brown sugar and honey; mix until liquid.
  3. Gradually stir in oats, ensuring they are coated.
  4. Add a pinch of salt.
  5. Mash the banana into a liquid pulp; mix into the oats thoroughly.
  6. Spread the oat mixture evenly in a baking tray using a knife.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at gas mark 5 (220°C) for 15 minutes, checking regularly. Remove when the mixture darkens.
  8. Let cool for 1-2 minutes, then cut into desired pieces.
  9. For added flavor, drizzle melted chocolate on top if desired.

Serves: 12-15 pieces
