 Basic Veggie Burger Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground dry mustard
  • 1 egg
  • 2 small courgettes (zucchini), shredded
  • 1 medium carrot, shredded
  • ½ medium onion, minced (any color)
  • 90 g dry bread crumbs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • Optional: corn, black beans, chili, cheese, avocado

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the ground dry mustard and egg. Set aside for a few minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the shredded courgettes, shredded carrot, minced onion, dry bread crumbs, salt, and pepper. Toss gently.
  3. Add the mustard and egg mixture to the vegetable mix. Combine well.
  4. Shape the mixture into 4 burger patties.
  5. Choose a cooking method: bake, grill, fry, or barbecue. For barbecuing, consider pre-baking to help the burgers hold their shape.
  6. Optional: Spice it up by adding corn, black beans, and chili. Top with cheese and avocado if desired.
  7. Enjoy your homemade veggie burgers!
