Basic Veggie Burger Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ teaspoons ground dry mustard
- 1 egg
- 2 small courgettes (zucchini), shredded
- 1 medium carrot, shredded
- ½ medium onion, minced (any color)
- 90 g dry bread crumbs
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- Optional: corn, black beans, chili, cheese, avocado
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine the ground dry mustard and egg. Set aside for a few minutes.
- In a medium bowl, mix the shredded courgettes, shredded carrot, minced onion, dry bread crumbs, salt, and pepper. Toss gently.
- Add the mustard and egg mixture to the vegetable mix. Combine well.
- Shape the mixture into 4 burger patties.
- Choose a cooking method: bake, grill, fry, or barbecue. For barbecuing, consider pre-baking to help the burgers hold their shape.
- Optional: Spice it up by adding corn, black beans, and chili. Top with cheese and avocado if desired.
