Ginger Poppy Seed Cookies Recipe

 Ingredients:

  • 13 TB butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 TB poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the sugar and brown sugar.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture and mix well.
  3. Combine the all-purpose flour, poppy seeds, cinnamon, and ginger in a separate bowl.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture and stir until combined.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 8-9 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool on wire racks.
