Toffee Frosting Directions
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 2 and 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Steps:
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Once melted, add the dark brown sugar and a pinch of salt.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly for 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the milk.
- Return to heat and bring to a boil again, stirring continuously.
- Remove from heat and let it cool for about 30 minutes.
- Pour the cooled mixture into a stand mixer.
- Beat in the powdered sugar using the wire whip attachment until smooth.
- Add the vanilla extract and beat again until well combined.
