 Peanut Butter Cookie Directions

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling

Steps:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place oven racks in the upper and lower third.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and beaten egg. Mix well.
  3. Spoon 1 tablespoon of the mixture onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving 1 inch between each mound.
  4. Flatten each mound with a fork to create a crosshatch pattern.
  5. Sprinkle coarse sea salt on top of each cookie.
  6. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until golden around the edges. Switch the position of the baking sheets halfway through.
  7. Transfer cookies to racks to cool. Repeat with any remaining dough.
