Oriental Salad Directions

Ingredients:
- Mixed greens
- Chopped green onions
- 1/2 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 can La Choy rice noodles
- 1 pkg sunflower seeds
- 1 pkg slivered almonds
- 6 T red wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Spread the sunflower seeds and slivered almonds on a baking sheet.
- Toast them in the oven for 5 minutes.
- In a saucepan, heat the red wine vinegar and sugar over low heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vegetable oil, salt, and pepper.
- Allow the dressing to cool to room temperature.
- In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, chopped green onions, crumbled bacon, rice noodles, toasted sunflower seeds, and toasted almonds.
- Just before serving, mix the dressing with the salad ingredients.
