Cooking Directions for Lima Beans

Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 4 tablespoons butter, divided
- 1/8 cup onion, finely chopped
- 3/4-1 cup chicken broth
- 1 (12-ounce) package frozen lima beans
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a medium saucepan.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until soft.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Add the frozen lima beans and let the broth return to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- After cooking, do not drain the beans. Add the remaining butter, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Serve and enjoy!
