Cream Cheese Cookies Directions
Prepare Cookie Dough
- Take 2 packages of refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough.
- In a medium bowl, mix together:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- Set the dry ingredients aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together:
- 1 cup softened salted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- Beat in:
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- Mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
- Add 2 cups chocolate chips and mix well.
- Cut 1 roll of cookie dough into 1/8 inch slices.
Preheat Oven
Set your oven to 350°F.Layer Dough
- Place cookie slices in the bottom of a 9x9 inch pan.
- Pinch the slices together to form an even layer.
Mix Cream Cheese Filling
- Soften 2 packages (8 oz. each) of cream cheese.
- In a small bowl, blend softened cream cheese with ½ cup sugar until fluffy.
- Add:
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- Mix until well combined.
Combine Layers
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cookie dough in the pan.
- Slice the second roll of cookie dough and place the slices in rows on top of the cream cheese layer.
Bake
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes.
Cool & Serve
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving. Enjoy!
