brownies from scratch using baking cocoa

 Better Brownies Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the vegetable oil, sugar, and vanilla extract.
  3. Beat in the eggs until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, stirring until well blended.
  6. If using, stir in the chopped walnuts.
  7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the edges start to pull away from the pan.
  9. Let cool on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
