Directions for Hash Brown Casserole
Ingredients:
- 1 (2 lb.) bag frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 can condensed cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup melted butter (divided)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 8 oz. sour cream
- 2 cups crushed cornflakes
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, combine:
- Thawed hash brown potatoes
- Salt
- Cream of chicken or mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- Cheddar cheese
- Pepper
- Chopped onion
- Sour cream
- Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture into a buttered 9 x 13 inch pan.
- Sprinkle crushed cornflakes evenly on top.
- Drizzle with the remaining 1/4 cup melted butter.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
