Hash Brown Casserole

 Directions for Hash Brown Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 (2 lb.) bag frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup melted butter (divided)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 2 cups crushed cornflakes

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine:
    • Thawed hash brown potatoes
    • Salt
    • Cream of chicken or mushroom soup
    • 1/2 cup melted butter
    • Cheddar cheese
    • Pepper
    • Chopped onion
    • Sour cream
  3. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Pour the mixture into a buttered 9 x 13 inch pan.
  5. Sprinkle crushed cornflakes evenly on top.
  6. Drizzle with the remaining 1/4 cup melted butter.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes.
