 Banana Bread Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine:
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 2 beaten eggs
    • 1/2 cup oil or shortening
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 2 cups flour
    • 3 mashed bananas
    • 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
  3. Mix all ingredients until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into a bread pan.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes at 400°F.
  6. After 20 minutes, lower the temperature to 350°F and continue baking for an additional 40 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool before serving. Enjoy your banana bread!

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar together.
  5. Stir in the beaten eggs and mashed bananas until well blended.
  6. Add the banana mixture to the flour mixture and stir just until moistened.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
