Banana Bread Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- In a large bowl, combine:
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1/2 cup oil or shortening
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups flour
- 3 mashed bananas
- 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
- Mix all ingredients until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a bread pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes at 400°F.
- After 20 minutes, lower the temperature to 350°F and continue baking for an additional 40 minutes.

- 2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar together.
- Stir in the beaten eggs and mashed bananas until well blended.
- Add the banana mixture to the flour mixture and stir just until moistened.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 60 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
