English Shortbread Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
- Prepare Butter: Use a spoon or fork to work the butter until it is fluffy.
- Add Sugar: Gradually stir in the brown sugar.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: Add the flour, baking powder, and salt to the butter and sugar mixture. Stir until combined.
- Roll Dough: Roll the dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch.
- Cut Shapes: Cut the dough into desired shapes or press it into an ungreased 8x8-inch baking pan, cutting it into squares.
- Bake: Place on ungreased cookie sheets or in the baking pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for approximately 20-25 minutes, or until delicately browned.
